Residential Group Home Manager (Magnolia, NJ)

Qualifications:
Minimum of two (2) years' experience in the field of developmental disabilities. GED or High School Diploma. Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Must be a flexible individual who has a basic knowledge of community living arrangements, integration and normalization.

Job Summary:
The Manager will supervise and be responsible for the operation of the an all-female residential facility within the community. She will be responsible for the general maintenance management of the program. She will be expected to counsel and assist the residents in developing and reinforcing independent living skills. Supervise and/or direct any personnel and volunteers assigned directly to the residential facility. Assist staff and residents in the discharge of their duties. Provide written evaluations of all staff as required by the Personnel Policies or as directed. Manager will report to and works under the direction of the Residential Program Director.

Specific Duties and Resposnibilities:
Ensure that the facility will meet all requirements of licensing or regulatory agencies, which impact on the program. Ensure that all functions are carried out as required in the Licensing Manual. Ensure that all staff members of the facility are functioning at acceptable levels. Cooperate with the Division of Developmental Disabilities staff, licensing staff and Department of Human Services staff during any inspection or investigation. Maintain an alert awareness while on duty to ensure the safety of the individuals in the program. This means no sleeping on duty unless hired for an asleep night duty position. Asleep overnight staff may be required to stay awake for the shift if conditions merit this action.

Employment First – Employment Specialist

Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or two years of work experience in a human service related field. Experience working with people who have developmental disabilities preferred. Must have own motor vehicle with acceptable driving records and provide proof of car insurance. Minimum 21 years of age.

Job Summary:
Responsible for providing the direct supervision necessary on the majority of community opportunities that will be available to the program participants. They will be an extension of the supervisory resources that school districts may provide and in some cases; the sole supervisory resource. They will be required to be knowledgeable of the primary focus and objectives of the "Help One Get Hired" program and provide the professional interactions that reinforce the program's importance and validity.
1. Performa all responsibilities associated with the supervision of program participants in the many community opportunities that will be provided.
2. Maintain effective links of communication with all referral agents.
3. Performs all duties in a professional manner that speaks well of the persons supported and the Agency.
4. Actively collaborates with supervisor in developing a pool of available community opportunities that can be utilized by program participants.
5. Assist all persons served with help in related areas such as benefits, SSI/SSDI concerns, transportation, etc.
6. Provide hands on training and assistance when required at community based vocationally related opportunities.
7. Maintains a cooperative and collaborative relationship with agency staff.
8. Complies with all required regulations and procedures as dictated by funding sources.
9. Transports program participants as required in the provided vehicle or personal vehicle.
10. Remains flexible in terms of scheduling their work time to accommodate the needs of persons served and availability of specific community based opportunities.

ATS Instructor

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 18 years of age. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. NJ Driver's license and acceptable driving record required.

Job Summary:
A.T.S. Instructors plan and supervise activities for the adults with developmental disabilities who attend Adult Training Centers. Adult Training Centers typically serve 30 to 36 service recipients, and are staffed by 5 to 7 Instructors.

Residential Aides

Qualifications:
GED or High School Diploma, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and at least 21 years of age.

Job Summary:
Responsibilities include all duties as assigned by the Manager so that the residential facility will operate smoothly and provide the residents the opportunity for maximum growth. Responsible for maintaining accurate knowledge of residential procedures, shift responsibilities, operation manual, individual service recipients characteristics, and Department Policies and Procedures.

Full Time CNA/MST/HHA

Qualifications:
Must have valid CNA or Multi Skilled Technician Certification. Must have GED or High School Diploma and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities:
The CNA will be responsible for all duties as assigned by the Manager so that the residential facility will operate smoothly and provide the service recipients the opportunity for maximum growth. The CNA will also be responsible for maintaining accurate knowledge of residential procedures, shift responsibilities, operation manual, individual service recipient characteristics, and Personnel Policies and Procedures.

Job Listings - Part Time

Part Time LPN Nurse

Qualifications:
A current Nursing license from the State of New Jersey. GED or High School Diploma. Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Must be a flexible individual who has a basic knowledge of community living arrangements, integration and normalization.

Job Summary:
1. Responsible for the duties assigned by the Manager so that the residential facility will operate and provide the service recipients the opportunity for maximum growth.
2. Maintain accurate knowledge of residential procedures, shift responsibilities, individual service recipient characteristics and Personnel Policies and procedures.
3. Complete all medical treatments as assigned by the physicians and his/her designee.
4. Ensure that all medications are taken at the proper time and in the quantity that is prescribed.
5. Ensure that the house management is aware of the quantity of medication available in the home.
6. Ensure the proper records are maintained regarding medication dispensed during shift.
7. Take and record temperature, pulse and respiration rates of assigned individuals, and take and record food and liquid intake and output of individuals as directed by the program supervisor.
