Job Listings - Full Time

Positions require High School Diploma/GED, Valid Driver's License and 18 years of age.

One on One Aid F/T M-F, 8:30am - 4:00pm
(Berlin & Pennsauken, NJ)

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 21 years of age. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. Valid Driver's license with acceptable driving record required.

Job Summary:
One on One Aid is primarily responsible for the supervision and individual support of an adult with developmental disabilities, who attends an Adult Training or Special Needs Center. In addition One on One Aid contributes to Center operations through light cleaning and decorating duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide supervision and/or physical assistance during eating and leisure times, and during personal care activities which may include changing, showering, toileting, etc.
2. Provide supervision and/or physical assistance to service recipients throughout the Center or in the community.
3. Assist in the daily activities for service recipients and provide the supervision and/or assistance as needed for individual and group activities. This may include hand-over-hand assistance.
4. Identify, report, and monitor safety or medical issues that may impact the welfare of service recipients.
5. Protect the privacy and confidentiality of service recipients; understand and support human rights; and demonstrate respect for service recipients in all interactions.

Physical Demands and Minimum Requirements of Position:

1. Following appropriate training must be able to operate a Hoyer lift, if required.
2. Following appropriate training must be able to operate a wheelchair lift and properly secure a wheelchair and it's occupant in a properly equipped motor vehicle.
3. Must be able to individually lift 20 pounds on a frequent basis.
4. Must be able to join a team lift of up to a minimum of 100 pounds on an occasional basis.
5. Must be able to push a wheelchair.
6. Must be able to individually support and/or guide an individual weighing up to 125 pounds.

ATS Instructor

Qualifications:

Job Summary:
A.T.S. Instructors plan and supervise activities for the adults with developmental disabilities who attend Adult Training Centers. Adult Training Centers typically serve 30 to 36 service recipients, and are staffed by 5 to 7 Instructors.

Physical Demands and Minimum Requirements of Position:
1. Following appropriate training, must be able to operate a Hoyer lift.
2. Following appropriate training, must be able to operate a wheelchair lift and properly secure a wheelchair and it's occupant in a properly equipped motor vehicle.

Job Listings - Part Time

ATS Van Aide - Part Time (Berlin Area)

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 21 years of age. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. Valid Driver's license with acceptable driving record required.

Job Summary:
To assist in the supervision and transporting of individuals to and from Adult Training Centers and Center-sponsored events.

Responsibilities:
1. Accept and demonstrate the Agency's Standard of Cooperative Teamwork.
2. Provide appropriate supervision and assistance to individuals being transported, including assisting individuals on and off the vehicle.
3. Provide curb-to-curb transportation to individuals served. Aides must remain with their vehicles, and may not transport individuals to or from the home. Ensure that service recipients are not left unattended in a vehicle.
4. Ensure that all individuals are properly secured and belted prior to moving the vehicle. All wheelchairs must be secured with four-point restraints.
5. Monitor the appearance and operation of Agency vehicles and notify the Center Supervisor of problems or concerns. Assist with the completion of the Vehicle Safety Checklist each month.

Part Time CNA/MST/HHA

Qualifications:
Must have valid CNA or Multi Skilled Technician Certification. Must have GED or High School Diploma and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities:
The CNA will be responsible for all duties as assigned by the Manager so that the residential facility will operate smoothly and provide the service recipients the opportunity for maximum growth. The CNA will also be responsible for maintaining accurate knowledge of residential procedures, shift responsibilities, operation manual, individual service recipient characteristics, and Personnel Policies and Procedures.

Physical Demands:
1. Standing/walking -- Must be able to walk a minimum of 2 hours at a time while on outings and in the home or apartment program.
2. Lifting/carrying -- Required to perform a 2 person lift. Must be able to lift objects weighing a minimum of 25 lbs.
3. Pushing/pulling -- Frequent pushing and pulling of wheelchairs, hoyer lifts and stretchers. Must be able to push an individual in a wheelchair regardless of weight. Occasional pushing and pulling of furniture to clean.
4. Climbing -- Must be able to climb a minimum of 15 stairs a number of times throughout the day. Must be able to climb stairs while carrying items such as laundry baskets and grocery bags and boxes.
5. Stooping/bending -- Frequently required to bend and stoop to house clean, and lock wheelchairs down in vehicles. Bathing individuals may require that staff member stoop and bend for a minimum of 10 minutes a day per individual bathed.
6. Handling/grasping -- Frequent handling and grasping is required throughout the day to complete consumer treatments, dispensing medication, bathing of individuals, housekeeping tasks and driving agency vehicles.
7. Kneeling -- Frequent kneeling during housekeeping duties and while bathing individuals.
8. Reaching -- Frequent reaching for objects at a height between the ankle and above the shoulders to place or remove items from shelves. Reaching is required when positioning an individual who requires total care or needs frequent repositioning to avoid skin breakdown.
9. Foot/hand controls -- Required to drive the program vehicle and operate the hoyer and van lifts.
10. Pinching/fingering -- Frequent pinching and fingering is required to dispense medication, complete paperwork, using a computer, complete medical treatments and complete activities of daily living for the individuals in the program.
11. Strength -- Must have the ability to perform a 2 person lift on an individual. Must be able to operate and maneuver a hoyer lift. Must be able to frequently carry items weighing a minimum of 25 lbs.

Part Time LPN Nurse

Qualifications:
A current Nursing license from the State of New Jersey. GED or High School Diploma. Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Must be a flexible individual who has a basic knowledge of community living arrangements, integration and normalization.

Job Summary:
1. Responsible for the duties assigned by the Manager so that the residential facility will operate and provide the service recipients the opportunity for maximum growth.
2. Maintain accurate knowledge of residential procedures, shift responsibilities, individual service recipient characteristics and Personnel Policies and procedures.
3. Complete all medical treatments as assigned by the physicians and his/her designee.
4. Ensure that all medications are taken at the proper time and in the quantity that is prescribed.
5. Ensure that the house management is aware of the quantity of medication available in the home.
6. Ensure the proper records are maintained regarding medication dispensed during shift.
7. Take and record temperature, pulse and respiration rates of assigned individuals, and take and record food and liquid intake and output of individuals as directed by the program supervisor.

Physical Demands:

Job Summary:
Per Diem ATS Instructors plan and supervise activities for the adults with developmental disabilities who attend Adult Training centers. AT Centers typically serve 30 to 36 service recipients, and are staffed by 5 to 7 Instructors. Substitutes Instructors work on an on-call basis to fill temporary staff absences.

Responsibilities:
1. Plan daily activities for service recipients and provide the supervision and/or assitance as needed for individual and group activities. This may include hand-over-hand assistance.
2. Provide supervision and/or physical assitance during eating and lesire times, and during personal care activities such as changing, showering, toileting, etc.
3. Administer prescribed medications according to DDD and Agency policies and procedures.

Physical Demands and Minimum Requirements of Position:
1. Following appropriate training, must be able to operate a Hoyer lift.
2. Following appropriate training, must be able to operate a wheelchair lift and properly secure a wheelchair and it's occupant in a properly equipped motor vehicle.
