ATS Van Aide

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 18 years of age. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required.

Job Summary: To assist in the supervision and transporting of individuals to and from Adult Training Centers and Center sponsored events.

Responsibilities:
1. Accept and demonstrate the Agency's Standard of Cooperative Teamwork.
2. Provide appropriate supervision and assistance to individuals being transported, including assisting individuals on and off the vehicle.
3. Provide curb-to-curb transportation to individuals served. Aides must remain with their vehicles, and may not transport individuals to or from the home. Ensure that service recipients are not left unattended in a vehicle.
4. Ensure that all individuals are properly secured and belted prior to moving the vehicle. All wheelchairs must be secured with four-point restraints.
5. Monitor the appearance and operation of Agency vehicles and notify the Center Supervisor of problems or concerns. Assist with the completion of the Vehicle Safety Checklist each month.

Pay Rate: $8.50 an hour (20-25 hours a week, M-F 7a-9a & 1p-4P)

C.N.A. will also be responsible for maintaining accurate knowledge of residential procedures, shift responsibilities.
