Any Theme Goes Art Show
and Sale, June 4, 2009

The Arc of Camden County is bringing art to the Arc. The “Any Theme Goes” show will be an all media (except video), non-juried art show. Artistically talented Arc staff, service recipients, family members, agency members and friends of the Arc are invited to submit up to five (5) pieces of their art work to be considered for exhibition. Although the submissions are not judged per se, the show committee reserves the right to de-select any pieces that do not meet the stated requirements for submission.

Deadline for Entry Submissions: May 15, 2009 (Submit as early as possible to beat the rush)

Maximum Number of Submissions per Artist: Five (5) Submissions

Submission Fee: $10 fee. (It will cost a total of $10 for 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 submissions) Payment can be made via Pay Pal on website arccamden.org.

Sale of Art Work: The artist has the option to sell their work. The artist will set the pricing of sales. Artists are encouraged to sell their art to assist in the fund raising objective of the show.

Sale Commission: The Arc of Camden County will accept a 10% commission on all sales of art. (Example - A $50 sale will result in a $5 commission to benefit the Arc) However, each artist may choose to donate a greater percentage of the sale price to the Arc if they wish to do so.

How to Submit Art for Consideration:

Each artist will complete the “Any Theme Goes” Art Show - Submission Form. Artist information and the description of the work being submitted will be required. The artist must remit the $10.00 submission fee when submitting. Checks should be made out to “The Arc of Camden County”. PayPal at website can be used.

The artist can send pictures of their submissions, along with the completed submission form to dravasio@arcamden.org. (OR) The artist can mail or hand-deliver a CD containing the pictures of their submissions along with the completed submission form. (Address: The Arc of Camden County, 215 West White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ 08009) (OR) The artist can mail or hand-deliver actual hard copy pictures along with the completed submission form to the above address. The artist should be sure that the name of each work listed on the submission form matches the name of the electronic or hard copy of the submission. Each artist will be notified which of their submissions were selected for exhibition and will be asked to sign an approval to sell release form if they wish to sell the work(s) when their finished works are delivered. Selected works will be used in advertisements, publicity or news releases unless previously prohibited by the artist.

Framing / Presentation Information and Instructions:

All entries must be framed and wired on the back to accommodate display on a variety of surfaces. Because this is an opportunity for artists to showcase and offer their works for sale, every effort should be made to present their works in a professional and pleasing manner. Sculptures, pottery, etc. may require the artist to supply a display structure in some cases. When delivering display ready works, be sure that the artwork is packaged in a protective manner. The artist’s name and title should be attached or written on the work in a manner that it will not be seen during display. Works larger than 24”x 36” should be covered by plexi-glass rather than glass. Sculptures and other works should be 50 pounds or less.

Delivery of Accepted Works To Arc: May 18th through May 22nd, 9:00AM–3:00PM to be stored before the exhibit. (215 West White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ 08009)

Pick-Up of Works after Show: All works remaining after the show can be picked up June 8th through June 10th. 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
