Occupational Training Center

The Occupational Training Center (O.T.C.) proudly offers diversified vocational rehabilitation and job placement programs for adults with disabilities. The mission of O.T.C. is to assist individuals with disabilities in reaching their highest potential by training them in a variety of vocational disciplines, providing employment opportunities, and preparing them for success in work as well and personal lives.

O.T.C. Placements at Work

Contract Assembly

Each year our contract assembly training program helps adults with disabilities learn the basics of simple assembly. We strive to provide exceptional service to our business clients and the adults in our program take great pride in the quality of their work. We offer a variety of bench assembly services including:

  • Assembly

  • Packaging

  • Collating

  • Heat Sealing

  • Folding

  • Gluing

  • Digital Weighing

We receive contracts with different business and companies that allow us to fund these vocational assembly training programs and give our adults practice with actual merchandise and quality control. All of our assembly training and skills programs are located at our main O.T.C. facility in Berlin, NJ. 

Janitorial Services

Our uniquely qualified janitorial teams consist of five to seven detail-oriented individuals with disabilities who have been trained in our centers to complete janitorial and custodial services. The O.T.C. janitorial teams specialize in

  • Floor Maintenance

  • Restroom Cleaning

  • Trash Collection

  • Dusting Vacuuming

Each team of individuals works alongside a qualified and highly-trained supervisor who oversees each worker and maintains the highest degree of quality control and safety.

Food Services

Our food service program provides training for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment to work in the food service industry. This training is available to participants in our agency- based program.

Individuals work alongside a highly trained supervisor to learn skills in:

  • Kitchen Equipment

  • Sanitation

  • Safety

  • Food Preparation and Storage

  • Customer Service at our In-House Cafeteria

This program provides more avenues for career success for individuals seeking employment in the food service industry.

Contract With Us

By sending work to The Arc of Camden County’s OTC, our customers realize a variety of benefits including the ability to:

  • Reduce cost and overhead for labor-intensive, repetitive tasks

  • Refocus existing employees on growth and customer service activities

  • Leverage an off-site, variable workforce during peak demand periods

  • Free up physical work space for other purposes

Projects are tailored to meet the needs of the customer. The OTC will recommend the best way to insure that your work is completed in a timeframe and manner that meets your objectives. Jobs can be scheduled as individual projects or ongoing work.
